Custom Development Pricing

Our custom development service is based on the nature of the task. Any customisation request (task) is evaluated using a "points" system whereby 1 point is approximately equal to 1 minute of work of an experienced developer. Note that a bulk purchase of points is at a discount to the standard price.

Since points are valid indefinitely, or at least until consumed, and are offered at attractively low prices, their use provides you with an opportunity to pre-allocate resources that may be used to get a custom script, trigger, or template created at anytime. When we solve a technical problem, the requisite number of points will be taken away from your balance and the rest of them will remain in the your account for future use.

Our experience allows us to provide an estimate of how much time it usually takes to do various different tasks and approximate prices for each task type are as follows:

1. While a task is being worked on, the initially quoted task price may be changed. For example, if additional investigation is required the number of points needed will be increased. But if a problem turns out to be a software bug, all points will be returned. Should you feel that you have been charged too many points for the task we would be willing to reconsider the number of points attributed to the task.
2. Once we have completed a task, we reserve the right to publish anonymized versions of any scripts/code on the our site to help other customers solve similar problems themselves.
3. For our new customers each license comes with some free points. If you have purchased TrackStudio Enterprise before October 15, 2007, you will also receive free points according your license.
4. You can and may wish to purchase custom development points before the purchase of your TrackStudio Enterprise license.
5. Custom Development Subscription orders are non-refundable.
