CSV Import

Postby AIH_Edifixio » Mon Aug 13, 2007 3:41 pm

Hi !

I have a problem with CSV import in TrackStudio.
I've made several searches on the forum, but didn't find any part dealing with the error codes, nor on the forum or in the documentation.
I'm trying to migrate some tickets from an old Track to a new one.
I prepared the good filter and created a script with the function pre-installed.
I then have created the CSV file by exporting with the Create report - List tool.

The problem is, when I run the import script, I get "Can't import task. Task category is not specified. " for each one of the task I try to import.
Note that on the first page, the results are theses ones :

Lines Processed 19, failed 0.
Tasks Created 0, failed 19.

I tried to create a category with same name as the one of these tickets, and got the same message.

Thanks for your help !

You should see a button somewhere on import results dialog to view detailed error messages for each failed task.

Please also check your TrackStudio error log for any messages.

In fact that is what I get in the détailed view ;-)

OBJECT_EXCEPTION csv import exception. Can't import task. Task category is not specified.

I can't tell you more, there is no error in the log (unless I didn't look in the good file ^^ )

Hello,

I'm sorry but my DBA can't find a fast way to anonymize the database but by updating every user and calling them "Anonymous".
What will be the effect of such an operation?
Is that what you want?
And even so, there will be some confidentials information in the tickets or messages (IP, logins, passwords, etc.....), so it would be very difficult for us to completely remove any confidential information.

Isn't the CVS file enough?
Can you import this file?

I'm really sorry for not being able to answer your request :s

Thanks !

I mean this way to create anonymized backup:
http://www.trackstudio.com/documentatio ... abase.html

It should be MUCH faster.

Even if you use TrackStudio WAR, you can install SA somewhere and connect to remote database.
