Uploading and reading with https

Postby psoares » Fri Jan 09, 2004 4:17 pm

I'm evaluating the standalone version of trackstudio 2.8.2 and stumbled across a problem that only exists in https, http is ok.
When I upload a file most of the times I get an "unexpected end of part" page. If the upload succeeds, with some files I get a "file not found" when reading but the files are in the upload directory.
If a file fails, it always fails. If it succeeds it always succeeds. I never get a fail with a file and a success later.

I can't duplicate this bug, but one of our developers can.

It seems like jetty bug, we'll try last jetty version and I let you know about results.

It seems a bug in MS Internet Explorer. I use MSIE 6.0 and I can reproduce the situation, but files downloads correctly on Mozilla browser.

I'm using MSIE and changing to other browser is out of the question. The problem is not a show stopper, just annoying.

It was not IE bug. We already fix this problem. Next 2.8.x version will be released soon.

That was fast!
To upgrade from 2.8.2 to 2.8.3 a database export-import is all that is needed?

Thank you, but test that it works for you. I still not sure that we fix the same bug.

No, database upgrade not required for revision (x.y.z->x.y.z1) updates.

But you can't upgrade database via import/export - you can use import/export only for transfer data between DBMSs, the TrackStudio version should be the same.

When we release new version we always provide update script that should be used to update from previous version.
