And 2 additional questions:
1) What application server do you use ?
2) Have any proxy between IE and appserver ?

I tried with 2 computers and the result is the same. Neither of them has proxies and the database is in the computer 1. I'm using the standalone version for windows 2.8.3 as-is with the webserver jetty.

Computers:
1 - WinNT sp6, 512M, IE 5.5
2 - WinXp Professional, 512M, IE 6

Uploads:
I can upload all the files. Even when they fail with "unexpected end of part" another try will get them there.

Downloads:
If the extension can be opened directly by the browser, as a gif for example, all is well. If the only option is to save the file it fails. The IE option "save target as" always fail even with gifs.

The IE error is "The file could not be written to the cache" for the "save target as".

The IE error is "Internet Explorer was not able to open this internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later" for clicking on the link.

Again, with plain http all is well uploading and downloading.

Paulo Soares

Just got the same problem with PDF reports under SSL. I suppose we got this problem because we supply only self-signed cert with TrackStudio Enterprise. InternetExplorer found this cert as "problem certificate" and show you security alert.

It seems that when you open new document in the same "session" (download gif or view HTML) - all works fine, but when you need another "session" (save file, generate PDF or Excel report) - it can't ask you about cert again and simple show error message. Or, possible, some programs (such as Adobe Acrobat) can't download files from site with problem certificate.

I am not sure about this, but similar problems is very common with problem certs.
