Yes, but you should add some specific message type and message type handler. In is not complex task, but it require source modification.

We support hierarchy of users - it should be enough to group users belonging to a company branch. User status is something quite similar to user group, but user can have only one status.

naresh wrote:I have two branches of a company. I want to let the users of branch A only view the issues of users in branch B. That is, users of branch A cannot edit the issues of branch B. Is this possible?

Generally, no - we'll implement such functionality in 3.0. But you can set different statuses for different branches and define this logic based on statuses. I am sure about this solution becase, as I know, you have 1000+ users and easy configuration is very important.

naresh wrote:Currently, my users can only submit new issues and modify them. However, they can also change the handler field on new notes in the issue. Is it possible to disable users from editing the handler drop-down list?

No, sorry.

naresh wrote:Also, do you supply source code to TrackStudio? I am wondering how to make the change you suggested in a previous post (removing fields from the notify email).

Yes, we supply source within standard distribution.

naresh wrote:By the way, i am very excited about the email functionality that is going to be available next week. I can't wait to try it out.

Hope it should be available soon.

PS. I think that if most your users will use only email interface - you need not complex workflow, security rules and so on. Within text-based email interface users can create new issues, upload attachments, add messages to issues, but can't edit issues or change handler at all. Actually, most categories/workflows/security settings overrides by email import settings.

Beta version slight delayed, we need some time to implement features and resolve problems that we found in alpha version. But I hope we release it this week or early next week.
