Automatic task ID numbers are great - but is there a way to make the numbers auto-generated for existing tasks match the ones I've manually assigned via a custom field? Otherwise I currently have 2 rival numbering systems which makes source code tracking a little difficult.

I'm guessing the answer is no, as the number looks like it's based system wide against all tasks on the hosting systems, so the solution is probably to manually update my custom fields to match the auto-generated number?

There are three possible solutions:
1) You can simple delete your custom field and use generated numbers.
2) You can make your custom field calculated and equal generated task number. Just define the following formula for your custom field:
return task_number;
In this case TrackStudio will return calculated values instead of stored.
3) You can manually update all tasks.
