is there a way to have the default view of a task be a summary showing the task description and all the messages on that task in a very clean and concise layout.

right now if we try and print a task, if the description is longer than the text area, you don't get all the text.

it would be nice if this was a tabbed view, and not a report that must be designed.

In the next version we'll add first 300 characters of task description into the task header. You also can list task description and messages in subtasks view (you need to customize filter).

But I agree, this problem has no good solution yet.
