IE 5.0 and filters edit problem...

Postby victor » Wed Nov 19, 2003 6:04 pm

Hi!

I have a problem with filters and I suspect that the problem is in IE 5.0

I have only a user with IE 5.0 (but a big and not updatable IE user)...

But when this user try to create a filter, and he going to edit it the edit script is not running ok:

- He create the filter
- He go to edit
- He check the handler checkbox (the asc, desc short checboxes are not enabled then!)
- He submit the filter edited
- Now the asc, desc checkboxes for Handler field are enabled but if He try to check one of these checkboxes the onclick produce an error.

Thanks

OK, we'll investigate this problem. I hope we'll release updated version soon.

Can't reproduce this problem (we use IE5/Win98). Can you ?

I am not sure... I have a Win98 machine but I dont know what IE version has it.

We are using Win2000 and IE 5.0

I am going to try over Win98.

I have not a Win98+IE5.0.

We have a Win2000 with the original IE5.0

But dont worry about it, only have an user with this problem and like it is a more specific problem and this user has a laptop he can does the filter definition in the laptop.

Only was a bug feedback :)

Just test it with Windows 2000 server with the original IE (version 5.00.2920.0000) - all works fine for me.

Before we have tested it with Win98/IE 5.00.2614.3500, also all was fine.

Ok, I tested it with Windows 2000 Professional v5.00.2195+SP3 and IE 5.00.3502.1000 and works fine too.

The problem is that we lost the computer configuration where we detected the anomaly, now the computer has IE 5.5 and, like you, I dont reproduce it neither.

I proposse close the topic until our user can reproduce the problem (or until doom). What do you think?

Thanks,
