How to hide the Navigation Tree on version 4

Postby diegos » Wed Apr 07, 2010 5:28 am

Hi,

I would like to know how you could hide the Navigation Tree on version 4.

On version 3.5 you could define Navigation tree = None inside the each User Info. But I could not find that option on version 4.

Also how could you avoid that a user that has privileges to edit his own info, changes the Navigation Tree Option.

I'm asking this because for customer users we don't want to show the Navigation tree, basically because the navigation tree functionality does not work when we embed TrackStudio inside a Portal that we use. So we want to hide it until we have chance to fix it to work fine inside the Portal.

Many thanks for any help.
Cheers,
Diego

There is a new feature in TS 4 called user interfaces. In my opinion using that is the best way to integrate TS and your corporate portal, though I don't know exactly if it works now properly.

Actually, you can hide tree (check for small button on the menu bar), but it is not possible to enable frameless UI now.

Hi everyone,

Many thanks for all the help.

I'm going to use the interface capability to integrate it to the portal.

It's a very interesting and powerful feature.

Cheers,
Diego
