Error Message on logout

Postby larsf » Thu Aug 28, 2003 6:46 pm

Hi, running 2.7.5 Enterprise/SA on HypersonicSQL and JRE 1.3.1. - Platform Windows 2003 Server.

When logging off a session - I get "The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings. " Explorer shows address: http://myserver:8888/TrackStudio/jsp/lo ... Action.jsp

If I refresh - I get a different error from TrackStudio: TrackStudio Error - Your current user session has expired.

Otherwise, it all seems to work quite nicely.

Is there any easy fix to this?

I was getting an error on logout, too, but it was a 404 due to the fact that my Apache server wasn't doing the DirectoryIndex mapping correctly, so http://hostname.com/TrackStudio/ didn't work. I was accessing the application via http://hostname.com/TrackStudio/index.html, but the LogoutAction.jsp assumes you have a welcome-file list or DirectoryIndex statement that works, so it calls http://hostname.com/TrackStudio. I had to use mod_rewrite to force it to http://hostname.com/TrackStudio/index.html for me. Kludgy, but it worked.

Brgds,

When you click the "Logout" TrackStudio destroys user session and open page that you define in trackstudio.properties (trackstudio.siteURL property).

If you need open some other page when you click Logout, please use undocumented parameter trackstudio.logoutURL in trackstudio.properties. We use it in TrackStudio Host, for example - when user click Logout he moves to site home page instead of TrackStudio home page.

When you click refresh TrackStudio understand that session has been already deleted and show you error message.
