Is it possible to edit messages (operations) after they have been saved?

No. You can't edit message through user interface, but can use spesial script for this.

We have no such script ready, please describe which this script can do ?

Anyway, you cannot edit messages, but can delete old one and add new with time in the past.

Just wanted to edit the text of the message. Only need to do this occassionaly so in the past have just edited the database directly.

Was just asking in case their was a configuration option to enable message editing.

Wasn't aware that you could set the time in the past when adding a message, this would probably meet all my needs. Can't find where to do this in the user interface though?

No, it is not possible to edit messages using UI.
