Have upgraded from TS 3.5 HSDB to TS 4.0 MSSQL.
Is generally working, but cannot create tasks.
In task workflow maintenance there is a red note saying:

This workflow has the following issues
Permission conflict for role "Designer", inconsistent rule "Can View" and "Can Edit" for operation "Time".

There are about 8 similar permission conflicts.

Please check permissions and ensure, that for have correct permissions for each catgory/operation. For example, you cannot have "Can Create" if you have no "Can View".

Thanks Maxim,

I have removed all errors my changing permissions and now new tasks can be created.

However..............
It might be that we want to give "Can process" but not "view" permission for some operation (message creation).

What we would really like to do is give view permission on messages from an operation to "Me and my superiors" based on the processor of the message, irrespective of anything to do with the task. OR be able to put users in workgroups and assign message view permission to every user in the group can see each others messages, but users outside the group cannot.

Can we achieve either of these scenarios?

It looks like you need a trigger to manage permissions...
