|
|
Hello,
I have a user who inadvertently deleted a project item (we are currently using TrackStudio hosted).
We know the id of the parent task and have a good idea about the name of the deleted task.
Is it possible to recover this deleted project?
thanks in advance.

Sorry, it is not possible (at least easely). How many tasks do you lost ? _________________ Maxim Kramarenko (mailto: maximkr@trackstudio.com)

I think we lost around 20 tasks.
I am not sure exactly when (or even by who) they were deleted, but it was between 2-15 of June.
Maybe in future versions we could maintain a "trash can" of deleted items so that we would have to delete something then empty the trash can.
In addition, (this might already exist), maybe we should have a user right that would control whether or not a user is allowed to delete tasks or not. _________________ d.

Yes, this is possible to control, but not in TS Host version.
I can try to get database from backup and install in on another server, so you can copy/paste and re-create required tasks manually (but it's difficult to recover attachments the same way).
Let me know if I should try this and which backup I should take (we backup database every day). _________________ Maxim Kramarenko (mailto: maximkr@trackstudio.com)

We would *really* appreciate it if we could recover these from backup. According to my user, the day we believe that would be the best for recovery would be 9 June 2009.
We are looking for the direct parent of the task #68683.
Thanks in advance. _________________ d.

Hello,
I'm the user that deleted the project item. The link you provided doesn't work anymore. Can you turn it on now ? I'll restore the deleted tasks and tell you when finished.
Thanks |

Thanks Maxim !
I can connect and export my deleted project item (#17299) in an xml file. But how can I import it in our real project tree ? Is there an import option ? |

No, only manually. _________________ Maxim Kramarenko (mailto: maximkr@trackstudio.com)
